July 24th Cabin trip

We arrived at midnight Thursday night. The entire four hour drive was amazingly pleasant!Jack was so excited, he was wide awake and very sweet, taking it all in. He was up early Friday morning ready to explore! Brad was so wonderful to get up with Jack so I could sleep in. I was exhausted!! They went to the store for bacon and eggs, which Brad made for us!
After breakfast, we went for a walk up the dirt road and in the meadow.

Dad caught a frog in the little stream! Jack named it 'Mickey'. He names everything Mickey.

Dad showed Jack how to sprinkle bird seed on the front steps of the cabin for the chipmunks to eat.

Jack is holding birdseed, waiting for the chipmunks to come eat it. Later, the chipmunks did come and eat off the steps near us.

Jack loved the cabin!

It was really fun for Brad to take Jack to the same cabin he has stayed in since he was Jack's age.
