Jack: Mom?
Mom: Yes, Honey.
Jack: A Dad a home?
Mom: You're asking, "Is Dad at home?"
Jack: Uh-huh.
Mom: No, Honey, Dad is on a plane.
Jack (dejected) : Oh dang!
I never knew I said 'oh dang' until three year old Jack started saying it. I never knew how often I said 'woo hoo' with a fist in the air until a two year old Jack started congratulating everything that way. When I am really upset I say 'shoot!' I hope he doesn't pick that up! Or at least that he has perfect pronunciation when he says it!
