Last year Jack did not know how to pull a trigger. This one makes a buzzing sound. He asked me where the other buzzing sounds he heard were coming from, so I showed him how to pull the trigger. I am not sure he knows what a 'gun' is because we never say the word or show him any. He thinks what Zurg has in Toy Story is for throwing balls. And Mickey Mouse and Dora don't have anything like a gun. It is my little social study...do boys instinctively know about guns or do we teach them? This one is still a noisemaker to him, I think, although he did point it at me as if he was Zurg.

Last year Jack was too afraid to ride this space ride. He was so proud of himself this year for riding it, he rode it seven times in a row. There were never more than five kids in line. Brad and I sat on a bench and watched him ride over and over. You can't do that at Disneyland!

It's not Autotopia, but Jack likes it.

The Skyride!!!! We were surprised when Jack agreed to ride the Skyride this year!

Last year,
cautious three-year-old Jack said, "No! Too high!"

The year before,
adventurous and squirmy two-year-old Jack rode it with me a few times. I was scared to death he would slip out. There are no seatbelts on it! It is amazing that ride is still going after 30 years and hasn't killed anyone. Brad was scared when Jack tried to turn around and look out the back!

Jack said, "Just Jack and Dad, no Mom!" When I ask him to say it nicely he says, "No Mom, please." in a high falsetto voice!
Easter Egg hunt then Lagoon, what a fun Saturday! But it gets even better...we went to Sportman's Warehouse and we let Jack lay down in each one of the 20 camping display tents! Jack loves tents!
