I ask Jesus

Mom: Jack, I am so proud of you! Today when that little boy pushed you, you waited for his mom to stop him. You didn't push him or hit him! That was great!
Jack: Tank you, Mom.
Mom: Now Jack, if his mommy wasn't there to help, what would you do?
Jack: I tell you.
Mom: That is great! What if his mom wasn't there and I wasn't there, what would you do?
Jack: I go home.
Mom, (hoping to teach that in some cases, it is ok to push someone away and defend oneself): Great answer! What if he hung onto you and wouldn't let you go and hit you, what would you do?
Jack: I ast Jesus. (I ask Jesus.)
Mom: I love it! That is a great answer!

Jack (in Jackanese): Mom, yut if he hode on to you an hit you an not yet you ast Jesus? (what if he held onto you and hit you and didn't let you ask Jesus?)
Mom: Well, I could pray inside my head. He wouldn't know what I am thinking.

Then we disagreed over whether someone could read our thoughts. Maybe he thinks I can read his thoughts. I almost have to in order to know what he is saying sometimes! :-)
