I wanted to prepare Jack for Kindergarten by telling him that school will be like his job.
Mom: As you know, Dad has a job. He goes to work everyday. I have a job, too. My job is to take care of you and cook and clean the house. My work is in the home. Now, soon, you are going to have a job, too...
Jack interrupts: I know, I know, picking up everything! (he looks at me with his eyes half closed and his eyeballs rolled up with exasperation. I need a picture of that look!)
I don't even have regular chores for him, ha ha! I just ask him to pick up his toys before we can do other fun things.
